Fat Loss Project Results – Helen’s Story

Nice work Helen!  You had considerable challenges with being able to access many of the foods us North American’s have readily available, and even with having to make substitutions your results were excellent.  Way to go!

ESSAY:

I am a 53 year old grandmother.  I have been battling my weight for the past 10 years and losing the same 10 lbs over and over again!  I came in contact with Coach Rylan’s program while surfing the NET for exercise and weight loss tips.

I kept coming back to his advertisement, but never bought anything.  I kept thinking that I could just do it myself.  Finally, I woke up one morning with a very swollen middle finger that was throbbing and very painful.  I checked my ESR levels and they were high (an indicator of arthritis and other inflammaory diseases).  So, when Coach Rylan offered this program for free to try out as guinea pigs, I thought, why not?

I was skeptical because I have never given myself over to anyone else to control my eating and exercise.  I was expecting to lose more weight than I did, but I now realize that it isn’t just about the weight, but more about losing the fat and getting fit.  I lost 3.7kg and a total of 8 inches.  I was someone disappointed because I am still 50% above what I should weigh and I’m still quite large.  But hey, I didn’t get this way overnight, so I cannot expect to lose it all in just 6 weeks!  I have committed to staying with the program as a lifestyle.  I was surprised to find that the program is based on sound principles that I had been trying to follow.  The program allowed me to have more structure and gave me accountability.

I would recommend this program to anyone who wants to get fit and lose unwanted fat.  I have no idea what dollar value to place on what I have achieved.  To me it has been invaluable.  I’ve read about having low carb days and low fat days, but I never had the time to sit down and calculate it all out.  With Coach Rylan’s Fat Loss Program, I didn’t have to think or calculate, but just follow what was laid out before me.  To me that seems priceless!  A big thanks for the opportunity to prove to myself that I can change my lifestyle, not just lose weight and then go back to the same-old, same-old and have the weight and FAT return.

Thanks, Coach Rylan!

I started off with a bang on this program, losing 6 pounds the first week. The weight loss, though steady, tapered off quite a bit, but I continued to lose inches at an amazing rate.  I’ve lost 2 dress sizes and, most amazingly, I’m off my blood pressure medication.

Was this difficult?  Very.  I work full time and go to law school at night, so finding time to work out and prepare all the meals was a challenge.  I don’t know that I could have done it for much longer, but I was committed to losing the weight and that commitment paid off.  I now have muscles in places that I had never been able to tone up before and that’s very exciting.  I can also do full push-ups which I have only been able to do one other time in my life (about 10 years ago).  And my stamina for running and other things has improved significantly.

Am I where I need to be?  No. I still have quite a bit more to do. This program has taught me not to be so concerned with the number on the scale as the number on the tape measure.  In that area, I still have work to do on my abs (waist down significantly, but abs still a problem), hips, thighs and arms.  I only lost 1/4″ off of each arm, but that 1/4″ made a huge difference in how I fit into a couple of blouses, so that was great.  I also have definitely developed some triceps.  Obviously still need to keep working, but the progress in just six weeks has been amazing.

Thanks so much for creating this program and for being so diligent about monitoring our progress and sending out information.  It was definitely worth the sweat and pain!

Fat Loss Project Results – Patricia’s Story

Is anyone else as shocked as I am about how much body fat Pat lost?  Just look at her waist measurements!  Nice work Pat!

Coach Rylan

I found coach Rylan’s program on the internet.

My motivation was to get my weight under control once and for all.

He seemed highly qualified so I decided to go ahead even though I had doubts about Go Sleeveless in his advertising.
It probably is possible to eventually have toned arms given a bit more time. I am ecstatic about my results. In particular the waist measurement.

My risk for having a stroke has decreased a lot. I was surprised by the results. I find the results dramatic and better then I had hoped for.

I would not hesitate to recommend this program to young adults, adults and those that are retired. If I could put a dollar value on the results I have achieved, it would be priceless!

Fat Loss Project Results – Donna’s Story

Here is Donna’s story from the Fat Loss Project.  I am especially impressed with the 5.5 inches of combined fat loss from her hips and waist (which is very evident in her photos), as these are traditionally very stubborn areas for women to lose body fat.  For a woman of average height to lose 2 inches from the waist is usually equivalent to about 15 pounds of total fat loss.  So yet again, we see the importance of using measurements to track fat loss rather than the scale alone.  Well done Donna, very good work!

My 6-Week Fat Loss Essay

I discovered out about Coach Rylan’s program last April through a random Internet search. Two years ago I weighed about 240 lbs. By April I was down to about 160 lbs, 20 lbs shy of my goal weight, but I had clearly plateaud as my weight had been around 160 since January. Also, I wasn’t entirely satisfied with the results because I had a lot of flabby, sagging areas, particularly my arms and abdomen that I was still having to camouflage. Just prior to finding the Go Sleeveless site, I’d spent a month searching for a flirty, sexy cocktail dress and a formal gown with long sleeves (or a nice jacket) to wear to my first ballroom dance event, with little success. I found tons of sexy, flirty sleeveless or short-sleeve dresses, while the ones with long sleeves/coordinating jacket looked very matronly.

Frustrated by my dress search, I wanted to do something even if it meant surgery. I started searching the Internet for info. on help for flabby arms or how to lose arm fat, including cosmetic surgery options, and came across the Go Sleeveless site.

I had wanted to do the coaching program for a while, but it wasn’t quite in my budget, so when Coach Rylan posted a request for guinea pigs to try out a new 6-week program for only $100, I responded right away. As an added incentive, I had already committed to participating in my dance studio’s Ballroom Showcase and wanted to look and feel my best for that.

I was a little skeptical about the program at first. I worried I might not be able to stick to the program, particularly the menus, and I wasn’t sure what kind of results to expect in six weeks. Ultimately, I decided if I didn’t do anything, it was certain that my body wouldn’t change.

Six weeks later, I’ve lost 13 lbs—seven shy of the 20 lbs I thought I wanted to lose—and a total of 8 inches from my hips, bust, waist and thighs. I’ve become very disciplined about what I eat and staying active. I’ve also learned quite a lot over the course of six weeks about the difference between weight loss and fat loss. I don’t want to just lose weight, which is likely how I ended up with the saggy skin on my arms and belly, I want to decrease my body fat and build nice muscle tone.

I’ve been weighing myself weekly, but try to focus more on inches lost avoid being overly concerned about the number on the scale since I’ve learned from Coach Rylan that number fluctuates during the course of a day or week for a host of reasons that may have nothing to do with fat loss. For me, going from wearing a size 8 (and sometimes 10) to a size 6 is a much more tangible measurement, besides my measuring tape. So, I’m also pleasantly surprised at losing 13 lbs and even more pleased about losing 3 inches off my waist and 2-1/2 inches off my hips.

I would, and have, recommended this program to my sister and several friends. I love the interval sets and will incorporate many of the strength exercises, like the squats, lunges, burpees, bench dips, even the jackknife, into my exercise routine from now on.

It’s difficult to place a dollar value on the results achieved. What dollar amount could I place on not only the fat loss, but the confidence I gained by having done things I didn’t think I could, like full body pushups or more than 10 burpees, or wearing a size 6 again. There are still some areas of my body where I would like to see more fat loss and tone, my arms primarily, but the program has certainly convinced me cosmetic surgery is not my only option. I feel hopeful that next summer, I’ll be able to wear a tank top without a cover-up and it won’t cost me $5,000 to $10,000 in liposuction or other surgery costs.

I have four more weeks to my Showcase performance and I’m planning to stick with the exercise program and the menus with a few tweaks (like sweet potatoes, occasionally), because I know I can do it and it does work.
