We’re on the home stretch folks. I’m anxious to hear about what you think of the new workout. I can already hear you all cursing me now
Just remember how great you are going to look next week.

Squeezed out my first chin up this morning when I was full of energy! Pulled off another when I was home at lunch! Can only do one though. I can only get about 6″ off the ground for a second one.
That is a HUGE accomplishment deAnne! Way to go. Now you know you can do it, just keep trying for another, and then another. Tremendous work, very nice job.

I found the workout challenging… I like the 3 point toe tappers, they will tone my middle in no time. The lunges are still hard on my quads, but I am getting lower each time. I tried a chin up, but went back to the chin downs for a while yet. I will keep working on that. I really like having the hummus to use as a dip in ths menu, it felt like a treat. I used to eat hummus with chips but it was very good with vegetables. Ready for another day tomorrow.
AGH! I am sick! Tried to push through, but no strength.

Today’s journal: http://ddkingweightloss.blogspot.com/2009/10/donnas-fatloss-blog-day-36.html. Agree with Ginny about the hummus–it was a special treat. Strained my lower back yesterday evening, so I had to skip most of my workout this morning. Since I don’t want to not do anything tomorrow, can I just substitute some of the earlier exercises we’ve done that won’t stress my back? I’ve been applying heat to throughout the evening, hoping that would relax the muscles a bit.
I am very sick still, can hardly draw breath it feels and the head cold has gone down onto my chest for days. Was almost impossible to do work out this morning, energy low and could hardly breathe. I felt so miserable and pathethic I cried (during and after) it was so hard. I ahve been keeping away from the doctor as I think he’ll tell me to eat more and stop exercising. But today I am so much sicker that I just had to make an appointment for the doctor tommorow morning. People are wondering if I have pnuemonia or a chest infection, one even suggested whooping cough… and it keeps getting worse. I ahve struggled with it since LAST Sunday now and I just have no more energy to pretend I can tough it out. Hope it gets better. I dont know how much of a work out i can do in the morning, just hope I wake up better than this right now. I dont want to give up or let the side down but I dont know how much more I can squeeze out. I know it’s only three days exercise to go and I amd so determined to get through it, I am trying very hard, but i ahve to say I am at the end of my tether right now. Early bed tonight, pray it helps, it must end soon surely.
Hope you feel better, Kim. I woke up with some ich on Monday morning, too. It’s horrible! I don’t know how you pushed yourself for a whole week! Take care.

Today is finished. Yeah!! It has been tough and to tell you the truth it took me all day to finish the exercises and I am terrible at some of them, plus going to the dentist, plus doing catchup for the exercises I missed. There was a moment after getting out of the pool that I felt better then I ever have. I want more of the feelin good. I thought the jets in the whirlpool soaker tub might fix my back, but alas it did not.
The Chai drink is sooo comforting.
Hi Coach – I will never be mad at a coach in my life that kicks me in the behind to improve my life, so no worries that I am burning you in effigy for this last workout!
It is hard – no chin-ups outta me yet , but since I have the chin-up bar here at home, I make myself try a couple times a day when walking through the doorway. Get-ups are actually better, burpees are still from the pit of hell.
Thanks for a challenging sprint to the finish! (we’ll see if I feel that way by Friday….) Getting extra sleep helped yesterday, the cold is better, I just now have a low, Kathleen Turner voice. – Carla

Kim – Please do take care of yourself! I understand as I have been down for the count for a couple of days too, but sounds not nearly rough as you have been. I will be praying for your healing, so that you can get back to all you have to do & the FLP. – Carla C.
Hi Helen – hang in there and take care of yourself! You have come this far through many challenges – but you have endured. I will keep you in my prayers – ALL the FLP GPs need to finish well. – Carla
Kim –
Hope you feel better soon, sister! My prayers are with your for strength and healing! You are much tougher than I for toughing out these workouts.
Hang in there Helen! Lots of prayers going out for everyone who is feeling sick. Only a few more days to go!

Squeezed out another chin up tonight but had to stick to the chin downs during the workout. My arms get to taxed with the other exercises. I’m loving the hummus addition. And the chai tea smoothie is a nice treat. I actually think I could live on our menu for quite some time. I don’t even think about the other food the used to eat. I fact I don’t even think about eating anymore until I start getting hungry and realize it is time for a scheduled meal or snack. It’s amazing to break out of that cycle.

Man, that’s a tough workout! I was trying not to curse you during the burpees and getups, but I’m afraid I may have slipped once or twice. Hoping it’s easier to get through tomorrow when I’m not having to do it so late, but I’m not too optimistic about that. I did manage to do some semblence of a chin-up, although I think there’s more chin-down than up(!)
Kim, Take care of yourself and follow your doctor’s advice, whatever that is. There’s so much stuff going around right now that is very serious. I’ll keep you in my prayers! Hang in there!
You have to listen to your body Kim, take care of yourself. If you need rest then you need rest, listen to what your doc says.
My thoughts are with you, get better soon!
Seems like there the cold and flu season has hit us hard. Please take care of yourself Helen.
That’s a great way to get the chin-ups…just try one or two a few times throughout the day. That’s another reason why I love that door gym, it’s there so you always want to challenge yourself.
That’s exactly what I hoped would happen. Glad to hear that the diet is pretty easy for everybody at this point.
My doctors appointment is this morning, I think I really need a rest day today and catch up on Saturday instead of rest day. Then I’ll get the rest I need right now and still not be cheating myself. I’ll literally go to bed all day (have not done that since the kids were born, 10 years now…
Rest up kim, get better. We’re all thinking of you..
Coach is right deAnne, A chin up is HUGE! I haven;t made it yet, but I will.
Wow, Kim,
Too bad about the illness…. Do what the Doc tells you. I doubt he will tell you to eat more, but to push the fluids. Tea is good and soothing too. Hope you “kick the Crud” soon.
thanks for all the well wishes. I have myself propped up at work, but not getting all the exercises done. Feel horrible! Maybe I’ll just continue into next week to make up! I have to travel, too! Very bad timing!
